2014 Award Committee Members

ISDS Members are invited to vote for the winners of the 2014 Awards for Outstanding Research Articles from Tuesday, July 29 – Thursday, August 14. This special literature review will highlight each of the finalist articles.

The Literature Review Subcommittee (LRS) meets bi-monthly to discuss new journal articles related to biosurveillance. At each meeting, members volunteer to summarize one or more articles. The initial candidate pool consisted of articles summarized by members of the Literature Review Subcommittee between May 2013 and April 2014, as well as select articles identified by the Award Committee (LRS Leadership).During the call for nominations, the Award Committee (AC) invited ISDS members, and others, to nominate up to 3 articles by selecting listed articles and/or writing in articles they felt met the judging criteria. The AC ONLY considered those articles in the initial pool that received at least one nomination vote. The AC also considered articles that were submitted as write-in nominations.

The AC has reviewed all nominated articles and narrowed the list down to 3-6 finalist articles, which have been distributed to ISDS members for voting.

Due to a technical glitch during the session, there is a pause between minute 2 and minute 4.55.
