One Health Surveillance Workgroup – International Society for Disease Surveillance

0

ISDS started the One Health Surveillance Workgroup (OHS WG) to engage its members in the advancement of this important and topical field. We define OHS as the “collaborative, on-going, systematic collection and analysis of data from multiple domains to detect health related events and produce information which leads to actions aimed at attaining optimal health for people, animals, and the environment.”

Workgroup Meetings

The next OHS Workgroup Meeting is on Thursday, November 3rd, 2016 from 10:30 am – 11:30 am ET. Tentatively, this meeting will be open to all ISDS members and will be an introduction to One Health Surveillance.

OHS Case Studies

In 2015 the OHS Workgroup put out a call for case studies to identify and highlight examples of how professionals have implemented an OHS approach that integrates animal, human and environmental surveillance to address a public health threat. Seven case studies were awarded the opportunity to be presented at the 2015 ISDS Conference.

All OHS case studies with consent to be shared are available here.
