The International Society for Disease Surveillance is governed by a ten-member Board of Directors comprised of dedicated and committed ISDS members. This Board is responsible for governance of the society and adherence to the ISDS mission and values. While upholding these responsibilities, the Board provides strategic and fiscal oversight of ISDS activities. Board members take leadership roles within specific committees or areas while ensuring all programming furthers the goal of advancing public health surveillance. The Board of Directors are elected for 3 year terms at the end of which they may be reelected.

Board of Directors Elections: The 2012 ISDS Board of Directors Election seeks to fill 3 vacant seats. The 2012 Elections will begin with a call for nominations running from October 4, 2012 – November 2, 2012. After a slate of candidates is determined, voting will be opened to the ISDS membership. The new Directors will be announced prior to the 2012 ISDS Conference in San Diego and their term will official commence in January 2013.
