Please e-mail your presentation slides to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it no later than Monday, December 2, 2013.

We ask that you arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the start of your session.

Each speaker has just 5 minutes for their talk and must submit slides by Monday, December 2nd. The 5 minutes will be strictly adhered to – all submitted presentations must use self-running slides that automatically transition. The presentation must be set to end no later than 5 minutes. At that point, there will be a 15 second transition period for the following speaker to get to the podium, and then the next presentation will begin. This format does not include questions/discussion; therefore, we hope that presenters will take the opportunity of following up with questions and discussion during breaks and by e-mail.

All session rooms will be equipped with an LCD projector, computer, microphones and a screen. Presentations should be submitted in Microsoft PowerPoint 2003, 2007 or 2010. Macintosh computers will not be available in any of the session rooms.

The easiest way to create a self-running slide deck is to click on the Slide Show menu/ribbon, and choose the Rehearse Timings button. This will then allow you to walk through your slide deck while the tool records the time needed on each slide. You just need to ensure your presentation ends at exactly 5 minutes.

Additional help can be found on Microsoft’s website.

Authors are strongly encouraged to:

  • Ensure that all font sizes are large enough to be read from the back of the room
  • Ensure that line widths are thick enough to be seen from the back of the room
  • Ensure that color choices provide high contrast
  • Rehearse beforehand to colleagues who will give you feedback
