A block of rooms at the Sheraton New Orleans has been reserved for 2013 ISDS Conference attendees. The Sheraton New Orleans Hotel’s superb location on historic Canal Street borders the French Quarter, and is just steps away from a myriad of Mississippi River Attractions, Harrah’s Casino, the Aquarium of the Americas, a streetcar ride to the beautiful Garden District, riverboat cruises, live jazz, and hundreds of award-winning restaurants.
All conference presentations will also be held in the Sheraton New Orleans.
The group rates are the Prevailing Government Per Diem (for both governmental and non-governmental participants) – currently $135.00/night for singles and doubles (+13% tax + $3/room/night occupancy tax). Group rates will be available three (3) days after the 2013 ISDS Conference, subject to availability of guest rooms at the time of reservation.

Room Reservation

• Call-in to 1-888-627-8389. If you choose to call in your reservation, please be sure to indicate that you are with the 2013 International Society for Disease Surveillance Conference.
Transportation from New Orleans Airport
You may reserve a shared ride service between the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel and Louis Armstrong International Airport through New Orleans Airport Shuttle. Rates are $20pp one way / $38pp roundtrip. Taxis are available outside of baggage claim and the average fare to our New Orleans hotel is $28.

Streetcar Transportation
The Sheraton New Orleans hotel is located right on the Streetcar line which provides easy transit along Canal Street, St. Charles Avenue, and the Riverfront. One-way cost: $1.25. One, 3, and 5-day unlimited ride passes are also available for $5, $12, and $20 respectively.
Hotel Parking
Valet parking service is available for guests; they do not offer self-parking. Vehicles are secured in a covered garage adjacent to the hotel. Due to limited space and height restrictions parking is available on a first-come-first-served basis and oversized vehicles cannot be accommodated.
Overnight guest rate is $38 + tax; however, the hotel is offering 2013 ISDS Conference attendees a 20% discount from this rate.
